Update 2nd day, evening

Dear friends,

This is to welcome the new-comers today and to update others who are
waiting for the magic number of 20 to be reached (I was waiting for 20
signups before letting loose the entire discussions; also Suresh needs a
little time to fix up the web-archive for this group).

Well, we have 16 signups so far. That's really a positive sign; a lot 
of active interest is indicated by such quick signups to this list. 

Just to re-iterate what I have been telling others who had signed up
earlier, for the benefit of new entrants:

You can send mail to majordomo@cinenet.net with the following message in
the body:

	who india_policy

That will return to you a list of those who have already signed up. 

Please spend a little time to personally contact your friends who have not
signed up so far but were active members of the preliminary discussions
among sub-groups; this is only the end of the 2nd day, but we should try
actively to get at least all those friends who have been active
contributors, earlier, to sign up. 

And please feel free to bring in other friends who might be interested.

I sent out a message earlier today which would help ease the pain of
signing up for those not very familiar with this process. 

Tomorrow evening I hope we not only achieve the magic number of 20, but
also I hope to spend a few hours in the evening sending out to all members
the progress made so far in our discussions. And of course, every topic is
always open to further debate. A lot of work needs to be done.

A warm welcome, once again, to the newly signed up members. I am sure we
will have great fun together as a virtual community!
