RE: Earthquake and value systems

I boldly submit to you that Indians have greater propensity for corruption
than the people of the developed northern nations, and that this is because
Indians on average tend to suffer from lower EQ. (Emotional Quotient, which
denotes emotional intelligence or control)

Sanjay dude I think you r seriously mixed up! I dont understand your
definition of EQ but you are mixing up everything on earth under the EQ
umbrella (corruption, short sighted ness, not being able to progress etc
etc). Under this magic word you go on to claim that Indians lack EQ - which
I think is total bull!
One simple test involves leaving a child alone with a piece of candy in
front of them, telling them that they can eat the candy right away if they
want, but that if they wait for awhile without eating it, they will be given
more candy. The low EQ child will fail the test, and opt for short term
gratification. I am quite sure the average Indian child will be more likely
to fail the test, as compared to a Western child.
I dont think you can even support your own example but I bet the American
child is more likely to eat the candy right away than the Indian child. But
does that mean you have failed the test? Exactly what is being tested here?
American households have the lowest savings rates- They spend all (and more
than) they earn! So is that low EQ too?

Do you think we build better houses and better quality goods beacuse we have
"EQ" here? Nooooooooooooooooooooo!
